At our October 2022 Meeting we approved a Neighborhood Purposes Grant for Aminta Elementary EEC Hawks School to fund pads for shade structure poles in their outdoor playground to prevent injury to students in case they run into the pads while playing.

The Commission provides a unique opportunity for the state’s youth to be civically engaged and make recommendations to the Legislature, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and Governor on specific legislative and fiscal issues. Apply by October 21.

At our November 10 Meeting we heard a report from Little Light International about things they were able to do as a result of our Neighborhood Purposes Grant.
At the October 13 Meeting of the North Hollywood North East Neighborhood Council we approved a Neighborhood Purposes Grant for $2,000 to help fund the teen leadership program at the East Valley YMCA.
