Motivational speaker Billionaire P.A. encouraged the students to speak their dreams into existence. One young girl stood in front of everyone and said she wanted to be a nurse and everyone cheered for her. She said it was the first time anyone had ever encouraged her dream.

A former Army officer, Ernie served during the Vietnam War and was honored by City Councilmember Paul Krekorian as Council District 2’s Veteran of the Year for his outstanding service in uniform and continued service as a pillar of strength and service in our community today.
Councilmember Krekorian secured $600,000 to help New Directions for Youth, a North Hollywood-based non-profit, build a new health and recreation center in Council District 2. The funding, included in the 2017-2018 Consolidated Plan budget, will help this community organization deliver even more programs and services to at-risk youth and their families.
North Hollywood North East Neighborhood Council was excited to participate in a community cleanup with the LDS Church and Councilmember Krekorian’s Office on Saturday, July 29. NHNENC Board Members participated in the clean up and sponsored snacks and lunch for participants.
Thank you to the 100 students and staff from UpwardBound NoHo who came out on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to honor Dr. King and make North Hollywood a better place to live. Again thanks to board members Chuck Loring and Judy Harris for their dedication to our NC and our 4th MLK Clean up. Great job and it is such a joy working with you!
