On March 23, 6pm we held a Town Hall on crime in North Hollywood with Police Commissioner William Briggs, Police Captain Hamed Mohammadi, Valley Bureau Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton and City Councilmember Paul Krekorian. The first project in the city supported by the Innovation Fund is the Mahalia in our area, at 11604 Vanowen Street in North Hollywood. The project’s nonprofit developer, Daylight Community Development, is using an innovative method of modular construction to reduce costs, shorten the building schedule and get more people housed sooner.

The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students who reside in the 29th Congressional district. Submit your entry by April 29.
At our February meeting we funded two Neighborhood Purposes Grants, one was for new landscaping at the front of Arminta Elementary School.
