At our February 9, 2022 Meeting we represented the voice of the community by discussing and approving a public statement calling for accountability in the shooting of Valentina Orellana Peralta. You may read the statement here: February 9, 2022 Public Statement on Fatal Shooting of LAPD
We also approved a Community Impact Statement on Council File 22-0002-S3 to increase the awareness of California firearms laws among educators, school children and their families.
We supported the community with two Neighborhood Purposes Grants:
- Public School Environment Initiative at Arminta Street: The purpose of the $981 grant is to beautify the front yard of the school and create a green space for the students and community.
- Little Light International: $5,000.
Join us March 9 for our next meeting.
