Thank you to the over 200 students from Upward Bound and Sun Valley Magnet who joined with North Hollywood North East Neighborhood Council and Councilmember Paul Krekorian for our Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.
Upward Bound from North Hollywood High did a great job of organizing teams to fan out from Fire Station 89. The clean up resulted in over 100 bags of trash being picked up and the Department of Sanitation was on hand responding to calls for large item pick up. This year we had a very welcome surprise of about 60 8th graders who joined us from Sun Valley Magnet.
We are so impressed at the dedication of our community’s youth, choosing to participate in a day of service on a holiday!
Lunch was donated by Salsa and Beer and by our Neighborhood Council.
Thank you to all for a great Day of Service!
