Proposed street changes

The Mayor’s Office would like to institute a Great Streets Initiative on Lankershim Blvd. Among these changes, they are proposing to take Lankershim down to one lane in either direction between Magnolia and Vanowen. Please attend any of the following community meetings if you would like to come and voice your opinion on the matter.

Lankershim Blvd was designated one of the City of Los Angeles’s Great Streets in 2014. The City is planning changes in 2017 and 2018 to Lankershim Blvd between Magnolia Blvd and Vanowen Street that include:

  • Reducing travel lanes to improve safety
  • Improving bike and pedestrian connections
  • Calmer traffic for a safer drive, walk and ride
  • Trees, landscaping and green infrastructure

It’s important that you provide input and feedback so we can address your concerns and incorporate your ideas. There are four upcoming opportunities to learn more about the project and give feedback.

Please RSVP to greatstreets@lacity.org if you plan to attend.
