California Youth Empowerment Commission

Applications are officially open for the California Youth Empowerment Commission (CYEC)! The Commission provides a unique opportunity for the state’s youth to be civically engaged and make recommendations to the Legislature, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and Governor on specific legislative and fiscal issues.

The Commission will comprise of 13 individuals across California between the ages of 14 to 25. Five individuals will have experienced youth homelessness, foster care, juvenile incarceration, or have special needs.
