The Clean California initiative (Clean California) is a $1.2 billion endeavor, launched by Governor Gavin Newsom in July of 2021. Clean California is a multiyear clean-up effort to remove litter, create thousands of jobs, and engage communities statewide to reclaim, transform, and beautify communal spaces.
