From Challenge to Change
March 24, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
On behalf of L.A. City Controller Ron Galperin, the Community Engagement Team is excited to invite you to join an intimate conversation with three women leaders who have risen to the many challenges faced by our city in the past year.
To commemorate the one-year anniversary of Los Angeles’s safer-at-home order due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please join Controller Galperin for his next “Conversation with the Controller” entitled “From Challenge to Change: Confronting COVID-19 and Building a Better L.A.” on Wednesday, March 24 from 5-6 p.m.
We are proud to host this FREE panel discussion during Women’s History Month, and elevate three women leaders who will break down some of the key issues manifested by the pandemic, including questions around health equity, homelessness, and economic recovery:
L.A. County Supervisor Holly Mitchell, 2nd District
Dr. Valencia P. Walker, David Geffen School of Medicine UCLA
Raquel Román, Director of the Guadalupe Homeless Project, Proyecto Pastoral
