SUMMARY:Girl Scouts Animal Dance Party
DESCRIPTION:https://www.eventbrite.com/e/animal-dance-party-tickets-114953866108 \nYou are invited to join Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles for a FREE Animal Dance Party!\nThis event is intended for non-members. This opportunity is intended for girls that haven’t\, yet\, experienced the fun of Girl Scouts! We will be discussing how to join Girl Scouts at the party!\nImagine you’re a grasshopper or a ladybug. How do bugs like those see the world? Do little rocks seem big? Do blades of grass seem super tall? Now put on some music. How do you move or dance differently now that you’re a bug? \nNow pretend you’re a bird that can fly high above the earth\, a giant elephant with a swinging trunk\, or even a household pet. How did your dancing change? \nWe’ll learn about lots of animals and find fun new ways to dance together at the party!

SUMMARY:Burbank Airport: Draft Environmental Impact Meetings
DESCRIPTION:The Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Bob Hope “Hollywood Burbank” Airport Replacement Terminal Project is Available Today! \nThe Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority is proposing to build a new\, 14-gate passenger terminal building in the northeast section of the airport. It would replace the existing\, 14-gate passenger terminal in the southeast section of the airport which does not meet current FAA safety standards because of its proximity to the taxiways and runways. A 45-day public review and comment period for the Draft EIS begins today. \nPlease Join Us! \nThe FAA will host two virtual public workshops on the Draft EIS on Wednesday\, Sept. 23\, 2020 from 1 to 3 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)\, and a virtual public hearing on the Draft EIS on Thursday\, Sept. 24\, 2020 from 6 to 9 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). FAA representatives will present information about the proposed project and the Draft EIS. Members of the public will be able to submit written questions\, which FAA representatives will answer live following the presentation. Virtual public meetings enable public participation in the environmental review process while maintaining safety and compliance with local\, state and federal regulations to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). \nTo comply with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)\, the FAA has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIS) to assess the potential impacts associated with the construction and operation of a 14-gate replacement passenger terminal building. \nThe existing passenger terminal would be demolished\, and parallel Taxiways A and C would be extended full length to the ends of Runways 15-33 and 8-26\, respectively. The project also would include building a 45\,900-square-foot aircraft apron\, public parking structure\, airline cargo building\, passenger terminal access road\, Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting station\, central utility plant and other infrastructure. A number of structures and facilities would be removed or demolished. \n*Draft EIS Virtual Public Workshop #1\nWednesday\, September 23\, 2020\n1 p.m. to 3 p.m. PDT \n*Draft EIS Virtual Public Workshop #2\nWednesday\, September 23\, 2020\n6 p.m. to 8 p.m. PDT \nRegister for a Draft EIS Workshop Meeting: https://bobhopeairporteis.com/public-workshop-registration/ \n*Draft EIS Virtual Public Hearing\nThursday\, September 24\, 2020\n6 p.m. to 9 p.m. PDT \nRegister for the Public Hearing: https://bobhopeairporteis.com/public-hearing-attendance-registration/ \nRegister to provide oral public comment at the Virtual Draft EIS Public Hearing: https://bobhopeairporteis.com/public-hearing-commenting-registration/ \nLearn more and connect with us by visiting the project website at bobhopeairporteis.com.
