New Council Members Sworn In

Stacey Johnson (on right), a North Hollywood native, was sworn in as the newest addition to the Neighborhood Council Board at the July 2010 meeting. Angelica Ayala from the Mayor's Office was on hand to administer the Oath of Office.

Elmer Street Project Beautifies Community
The Elmer Street Project is a joint federal, state and city effort to eliminate flooding in the valley. The residents of Elmer St. gave up 5 foot of frontage property in order to prepare the ground to accept rain water without flooding. The grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the Elmer Street project on June 3, 2010.

NHNENC Reaches Out to the Community

Phil Manson Served Admirably
The North Hollywood North East Neighborhood Council is saddened by the passing of Board Member Phil Manson on June 28, 2010. His service to the community and his friendship will be greatly missed.
NHNENC Supports Graffiti Removal

The board contributed $1,000 towards the purchase of graffiti removal equipment for use by the Sun Valley Graffiti Busters. In the above picture, the Graffiti Busters are removing graffiti at the park on Laurelgrove.
