Voices from the Community. Lots of Information and Opportunities
This posting has a summary of a lot of information and opportunities provided by the City and from the community.

If you haven't seen the lawn around LA City Hall recently, it doesn't look like much. After the OccupyLA protests, the old lawn is no more. So should there be a new lawn, drought-resistant landscaping, or maybe something else? Visit http://www.laparks.org/restoration/index.htm to share your ideas and your vote for the future of City Hall Park?
Tips from the Firehouse: If your furnace isn't working up to par, don't try to leave the oven on and open at night. It's not only really inefficient, it can lead to dangerous carbon monoxide poisoning. Also, make sure your fire fits your fireplace. A fireplace made for looks won't contain a big fire built for warmth. And if you still have a Christmas tree in your home, cut it up and put it into the green yard waste bin. A dry christmas tree is a terrible fire hazard - and really, you don't want to be one of the people with a dead tree in your living room in March.
